I received a product that I thought would be perfect and gave it as a gift without seeing it. I was embarrassed to have my recipient discover a blurry image. My embarrassment caused me to react quite angrily in my communication. The owner was uniformly polite and made me whole financially despite it being a special order.
In the final communication, I realized that my email significantly degraded his copy of the original photo. I thought all the time I had a super high quality image.
As the owner kindly said, "They viewed the interaction as a learning session." They don't need to learn anything about customer service, but I would recommend they use a program that rejects any pictures unfit for such a large size (something like the chain drugstore websites for printing canvases through a local branch).
My lessons were to check any presents before giving them, not to act in anger and embarrassment, and lessons can be found anywhere. I was a jerk. The owner was wonderful. I'm sorry.
