Whether you're a first-time buyer or a seasoned DIYer, this step-by-step guide will walk you through everything you need to know—from mount type to fabric joints—so you can order with confidence.

1. Choose Your Mount Style: Inside vs. Outside Mount

Inside Mount
This sleek look fits your Roman shade inside the window frame.

  • How to Measure: Measure the exact width inside your window frame at the top. Don’t make deductions—we’ll handle those to ensure a perfect fit with brackets.

  • Height: Measure from the top inside edge to the window sill (or desired length).

Outside Mount
Ideal for covering more light or hiding imperfect window frames.

  • How to Measure: Decide how wide you want the shade to extend beyond the frame (we recommend 2–4"/5-10 cm) wider on each side).
